Angela Hightower graduates from PHCC

Angela Hightower, of Martinsville, was among more than 450 students who graduated from Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville during commencement on May 17. Hightower graduated with a(n) associate of arts and sciences in General Studies.

Students who graduated with honors were recognized: 3.2 cum laude (with honor); 3.5 magna cum laude (with high honor) and 3.8 summa cum laude (with highest honor).

Dr. Annie Wimbish, a senior associate at the Schlechty Center for Leadership and School Reform in Vernon Hill, Va., served as keynote speaker.
