Carly Schmidt Graduates from PHCC

Carly Schmidt of Leesburg was among more than 800 students who graduated from Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville during Commencement May 12. Schmidt graduated with a Associate of Arts and Science in General Studies.

Students who graduated with honors were recognized: 3.2 cum laude (with honor); 3.5 magna cum laude (with high honor) and 3.8 summa cum laude (with highest honor).

Dr. Susan Gooden was the keynote speaker. Currently a professor of Public Administration and Policy for the L. Douglas Wilder School of Government and Public Affairs, Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Gooden is also an alumna of Patrick Henry Community College.
